Online 'Part-Time & Volunteering Jobs Fair' 23/09/2020
Exhibition of Opportunities, including Remote Working]

Update:  20 Exhibitors and 500 students (180 in the first 10 minutes) participated in the event.

Organised by the BU Careers & Employability Service (#CareersBU) and the Students' Union Volunteering Service, this event marked our first ever Online Edition of a Careers/Recruitment Fair.

You might want to join either our Annual Careers Fair, or Nursing, Health & Social Sciences Careers Fair to promote similar roles.  This Jobs Portal can also be used to advertise any paid opportunity, just register and use it for free throughout the year.

Employer Feedback on the 23/09 event:

1) 'The process to sign up for this event was simple and easy and was wonderfully supported.'
2) 'Successful interviews held on the day, with others pending. All student correspondence was very professional'.

3) 'I thought the organisation for the Job Fair was amazing, we were one of the later companies to join I think as we only enrolled last Thursday, however everything ran smoothly,

I think it is a credit to yourself and your support team it ran the way it did, from our side, to be able to enquire about possible candidates, attend a Job Fair and come away with applicants all within one week is incredible.

I fully appreciate it is best to attend a Jobs Fair in person, however this came a very close second for me, I don’t believe we missed out on any potential candidates and my belief is that we can give students more dedicated time this way than we could in a traditional fair, as sometimes if you have multiple people interested you can find you rush things to get through everyone.

A little side note also, the social media advertising for this event in my opinion was awesome, very colourful and on every platform with the ability to share/like/retweet etc.'

For future reference, live or upcoming part-time roles typically promoted include:
IT, Healthcare, Teaching, Marketing, Hospitality, Retail, Sports, Engineering, PR, Journalism, Administration, Event Management, Sales, Media Production, Research and more.

The opportunities on offer no longer have to be centred around the Bournemouth area, as more employers and students are familiar and comfortable with remote working.
