Electricity/Audio Visual/Sound Equipment

No music may be played, or amplified sound permitted at the Fair without prior permission. There are limited number of power points available to exhibitors in the venue. These power points will be allocated on a first come first served basis and no power can be supplied on the day if not requested on the booking form. Confirmation of power point allocation will be sent in the final information email.

Please note that you are required to bring your own extension leads. Any exhibitor's own electrical equipment (including extension leads) that is brought into the University must be fully tested and marked in accordance with electrical testing regulations e.g. portable appliance test and carry the appropriate sticker. Any equipment that requires an exceptionally high or three-phase power supply will not normally be allowed. The University reserves the right to check any exhibitor's electrical equipment and to refuse its use if deemed unsuitable or unsafe.

Health and Safety

All areas of the fair shall remain alcohol free and visitors should observe the University's No Smoking Policy at all times. Visitors are not permitted to bring any item onto the University's premises that could endanger others (e.g. hazardous equipment such as gas cylinders, halogen gas or poorly maintained equipment). The University reserves the right to check any exhibitor's electrical equipment and to refuse its use if deemed unsuitable or unsafe.

All visitors are under a duty of care to report situations they believe to be potentially hazardous. In the context of fire prevention this may be something which could lead to an outbreak of fire (e.g. unsafe storage of flammable materials) or something which could hinder the safe evacuation of the premises in the event of a fire (e.g. obstruction of fire escapes). All staff attending the event on behalf of your organisation should have received appropriate health and safety training e.g. manual handling training and are responsible for their own health and safety.

--

Insurance

All organisations attending the event must hold full public and employee liability insurance.

--

Disclaimer

Cancellation Policy

If you need to cancel your booking for any reason then please note the following cancellation charges will apply: Up to one month in advance - the full exhibition fee will be charged.

If an organisation has submitted a booking form without a PO number, or has not paid by credit card,  this is regarded as a reservation not a confirmed booking.
